royal plecos grow slowly and live for a very long time so you have a few years to decide its fate lol but it will be fine with bottom dwellers but in a few years year by year it will get more bosterous

Ok that's fine, just plecs and African set ups generally aren't a good mix.

Your fish is obviously small as it still has the window in the tail, ime Panaque grow about an inch a year.

Yes iv had frontosa and other African before, also had American and prefer them to be honest they have much more colour and personality about them, I had a pair of red devils and blue dempseys along with a few others and loved them, hence why I want another set up, thanks for the info on the plec him and my oddessa barbs and electric blues are my pride and joy at the min and I'm hoping to breed my blues hopefully
