I bought 3 new rocks from my lfs today in an ongoing effort to get my tank a more natural look (don't laugh at my substrate i will change it eventually :p). Everything I read about adding rocks to my tank said give them a good scrub and rinse and they should be good to add to the tank. I even let them soak in hot water for a few hours then added them but my tank is very murky right now. I am not so much worried about the look as I now it will clear up with time but is this going to kill my fish? Is water changing a good idea (I already changed 50% today as I do every day since I am still in the later parts of my fish-in cycle)?

That's Utah lace rock. It has a tendency to hold lots of dirt in small holes, if you don't get it all your tank will cloud up. Just keep up.with your water changes and things will be fine.

Yeah I really like the look of the rock, it seemed to have cleared up for the most part this morning so I think its all good. Thanks for the reply!
