I got three more rasboras to add to my current three, they should play together and stick by each other correct. And what does school or shallow or whatever its called mean when you have a big group of fish. Does it mean they swim together and play follow the leader.

Thanks

Austin

Generally means they stick together. Shoaling. Schooling. They don't necessarily shoal, i.e. like my new harlequin rasboras, if they are young. I'm sure they will when older. New additions at a relatively mature age should probably shoal with the old school after a few days. As for follow the leader, if you mean chasing after other fish, it's merely a matter of setting up a pecking order. Cannot say I have noticed this or any other sign of aggression in my rasboras. *shrugs*

Ok well before I got the new ones two seemed to follow one around. Now two of the new ones seem to swim together and the other new one swims with the old ones. I am not worrying about it right now since the two that are swimming together are the small ones. So schooling/shoaling means they swim/stick together. So they should do this once they are mature enough and if they dontt its still ok.

Thanks

Austin
