New Rams

So keep the female but buy a couple more to see which one he pairs with then move the others to a different tank after he's found his mate right? Will i be able to move the other females back after they breed?

Only if you remove the male. Once they have paired, they will want to keep all the others away.

Don't be so sure. Look everywhere...they almost always move the wigglers to a different spot.

but it's a bare bottom tank? no gravel, 1 fake plant (Gonna put real ones in soon), a clay thing for the eggs, and a bubble tube. Thats all I put becuase I previous read that not a lot of babies will survive in a tank with gravel.

(Current ~ Not babies survived because my little sister got into the tank and ravaged it, thankfully the parents are safe. So I re-setup my tank and and the parents are doing fine, hope they lay agian soon.

What would be better; intoducing a new female for my male or introducing a new male for my female?

See which is healtier and more colorful. If the male is healtier and the colors are stronger and brighter, then buy a new female and if the situation is vice-versa, then get a new male. Generally males are more colorful, but I've seen females that are better than males.

Do you have any pics of them? I want to see them? (Thats if it's ok with you. So I'm not forcing you to get pics if you can't or don't want to.)

sorry its been so long i've been on vaction. The pictures will be here shortly after i get some things straited out. 8)

pretty good! My female I bought has no yellow or orange on it at all (around the head area)? I wonder if she's even a blue ram? But she breed with my male, so she must be in the German Ram family. She is more of a turquise color than blue. When her colors reflect, you can see a green mixture that comes out almost as strong as the blue. (But it's obviously not the same color as my other females and my male) Her head is the color of her body, (like any blue ram's body) When I bought her, I thought that maybe her colors didn't show much because she was a Juvinel, But it's been a while now. She still looks the same. Strange, I just thought about it while looking at your female ram.

The colors didn't really come out in the pictures for some reason. How are your fry did any make it, and if they did how are they doing. :)

no none did. That was a few weeks ago. They should be be spawning soon agian.
