New Pleco

Hi Folks
A bit of advice on my new pleco please.
Spotted him in our LFS and wife fell in love with him/her.
Its a spotted orange seam and since we got him 2 days ago doesnt seem happy,is this just settling in or are we doing somthing wrong.
Tank is well cycled,community tank 120l with guppy,s platy,s and a few cory catfish.
He has some bogwood/drift wood and tried tempting him out with cucumber and courgette but havent really seen him apart from once when he was there but as soon as we entered the room he scarpered..
Is this normal or do we need to do something.

Nearly all Pleco's are nocturnal, they will rarely show themselves during the day. I have a Snowball that is exactly the same, I had a Gibby that did come out all the time during the day but he was just wierd.

Anyways, no your not doing anything wrong. If you wake up one night by accident, you might just see him chilling on the side of your tank

You should feed him algae wafers before you go to bed, as when all lights are out he will then come out to feed.
