I got 2 new tiger oscars. They are pretty darn small right now, like 2''. I turned my back for two seconds while the guy was getting the fish and the next thing I know he's holding up a bag full of TAP WATER with my fish in it. I tell ya, you can't trust these sales people at all. You think they would know at least that. That's the most basic thing to know. Even people who know nothing about fish still usually know not to do that. This is just getting crazy.

Anyway, I got them home right away and they adjusted very well. Actually I'll never seen fish adjust that fast before. Usually when you get oscars they will lay on the bottom of the tank and not eat for acople days. These guys where swiming around out in the open like nothing happened. I offered freeze dried blood worms and they came right up to the surface of the water even before I put in the food.

Congrats on your 2 Oscars. Glad they are ok now

Are they still ok at the mo?

Oscar's are s**t hot man i've got 3 and mine are abot 6" this is the second set of Oscar's i,ve kept in my life time if you need to know any thing please ask me i'll tell you .

well i just sold my oscar yesterday.... :(
i raised it from a 5cm oscar all the way to a 16 cm oscar in 5 months
i say u feed him some meaty foods so the takes most of the food. if you feed it pellets it usually comes out looking like a pellet whereas meaty foods dont. well thats what my oscar was like

I love oscars! How are the doing now? Mine's growing like crazy, almost 3 inches now and he was nowhere near that size when i bought him.

They have to be one of the smartest fish out there!

They are still doing fine. They hang around each other closely.

I have two oscars one is called Ciara and she is a tieland red and monty is a tiger oscar. They are both 8". I have had them since last december. I got them when they were only 4" long!! They grow really quickly what tank do you have them in??? Mine are moving into a 125" soon. If the tank is not big enough they are seseptible to hole in the head. Right now one of my oscars has hole in the head but it is MILD. As soon as I move them she will be fine.
