I got 2 new tiger oscars. They are pretty darn small right now, like 2''. I turned my back for two seconds while the guy was getting the fish and the next thing I know he's holding up a bag full of TAP WATER with my fish in it. I tell ya, you can't trust these sales people at all. You think they would know at least that. That's the most basic thing to know. Even people who know nothing about fish still usually know not to do that. This is just getting crazy.
Anyway, I got them home right away and they adjusted very well. Actually I'll never seen fish adjust that fast before. Usually when you get oscars they will lay on the bottom of the tank and not eat for acople days. These guys where swiming around out in the open like nothing happened. I offered freeze dried blood worms and they came right up to the surface of the water even before I put in the food.
