New Or Old Tank Layout?

I don't have any issues with the firemouths at all, the only fish they "send off" is the angel, which is understandable, also don't inflict any damage on any of the fish.

I think they are great fish, mine have great personality's, i have never kept keyholes, so i couldn't say on how they are, but i couldn't recommend the firemouths great fish to keep.

Tell use what you decide to get though, it would be good to hear.

Stopped by the pet store on the way home tonight and watched some fire mouths. Pretty cool fish. Some were flaring their gills at each other, males I imagine. Only $2 each for 3" fish, pretty cheap! No keyholes. No rams. No acaras.

Firemouths are generally a peaceful cichlid, it's just the males can get VERY territorial, not just with other males, with everything.

They keep trying to send off the pleco, but he just stays on his cucumber

I have weighted it down with a lead weight, i got it off the plants.

Its so amazing watching them now, I coulnt recomend them enough with the right tank mates

congrats about the spawning. They clearly were not that happy about you watching them do it for there 1st time, let alone filming them.
They obviously like the new scape.
Think i prefer the old one tho.
