I plopped down $65 for a 3 gallon eclipse and a heater for him...........for those of you who helped me with the other options, thank you. I couldn't sleep last night and now the little guy is doing much better! I set the tank up with all old aquarium water, gravel and an old filter. Figured that this was better than sitting in the tank that he was in before...............I am so popular in the neigborhood now. Everyone thinks I am going to buy them all fishtanks now! :kira:

Hi Olive :)

Awww....... You are such a nice lady!

I'm glad to see you back with us on the forum!

I didn;t post this on the other thread, cause I didn't have any advice that hadn't already been covered, but I think it's swell you're taking care of making sure the betta is okay. In the process, by teaching those boys how to take care of their pet, you are teaching them how to be responsible in a way that their mother does not seem able to.

You go, girl!

Thanks guys! I just couldn't let the poor guy go through another day of that. He has a slight problem with popeye and ragged fins, but is already seemingly better. He is busy exploring his new tank. We have some melafix in and some TLC. Hopefully I got there in time!

Thanks for everyone's advice!!!

Thanks for posting the update, although I didn't advise eaither I had also been watching the topic and wondering how it would turn out!

I think what you've done is brilliant!
