My mom picked up a baby brine shrimp net at a yard sale (it was new in the package) and I tried it with one of my male bettas when I was doing his water change. The net is VERY soft and doesn't have little holes in it where fins can get caught. It was very non-stressful and my fish didn't even get stress bars when being netted. I highly encourage everyone go out and buy one.

I've actually been considering one of those. After a messy incident with a CT last year I avoid nets with all my bettas. But I may just have to try one of those. They come in a couple of sizes so they would work for other fish as well with long finnage

I have a pretty small sized one. It scoops out a betta perfectly though. I use them for most of my other fish as well since most of my fish are fairly small and fit into the net. WIll probably go out and try to get a bigger one for my other fish as well.

i used to use one but i lost it...but be sure not to get them dirty it hard to get teh dirt out after its already in between the mesh

I use the brine shrimp nets too, they just looked like they'd be softer and safer for those delicate fins :)
