New Molly Fry

Sometime during the night one of my Mollies had her fry, but I was only able to find two babies. Unfortunately the mother Molly passed away shortly after I had found them this morning. I'm not really sure why.. Just birthing complications? The one pictured is black while the other is a light brown color. This is my first time with fry so I hope they will survive. I'm keeping them in a 1.2g with a small heater and some floating Rotala Indica. Will the fry feed off of the plants? I'm going to order from fry food online but it won't be here until Friday. Also, would they nibble on algae wafers?
 
I thought I'd make this to show the progress of the fry as the grow.

Molly fry are large enough to feed off ground up flakes if you haven't got any live bearer fry food to hand.
I usually feed live bearers fry hakari first bites and baby brine shrimp.
 
They will   nibble on algae wafers but not for a couple of weeks yet.
