Im sorry to say this, but you should not have mated those two. Not only will they produce really ugly babies, they're Veiltails. Veiltail bettas are fail.

Edit: Btw didn't I see your same exact post on the Aquabid forums? You said all your babies died because you thought you only fed them every two days instead of twice everyday. Research my man, research.
Why would they be ugly? I am not interested in them for the money or anything. Why would one of gods creatures be ugly ? Well if you looked that was the first time i attempted breeding the bettas. It was the same male but a differant female :good: .Since then i bought 3 worm cultures from fishguy_1955 and researched them further.I am not new to breeding animals as i have 14yrs in breeding ball pythons and corn snakes so i understand genetics and such.I just do it for the love of the creature and the pleasure of being able to work with them :good: .

a lot of people still love veiltails and they have their own class again with the IBC
What makes you say the babies will be really ugly they wont the match is a good one as far as colouring and genetics is concerned- with the cambodian colour of the mum and the red of the dad

you certainly should never mix tail types when breeding bettas unless you are devloping a combtail/half sun or feather tail line
Thank you again :good: .When i chose the male and the 2 females i have i looked at LOTS of them before i chose them. When i was breeding snakes i would look at 40+ snakes before i picked one lol.So i have carried that over to breeding bettas :good: .I find it sad that some think that the animals value should determine if someone should breed them :( .
