New member here: Tank pics W/Fish

Did you get the goldfish to cycle the tank with, and how warm is your water temp, I guess you know that they need high oxygen and warm water has less than cold, I see you have an air curtain or stone of some sort, so if he seems happy then fine.

Yep that would be St. Louis. I just moved from Kirkwood to Fenton and now to Ballwin. Not all at once though. I thought about getting a 125 Gal tank but I live in a 3rd floor apt. and the 55 Gal up here was quite questionable. :dunno:

lol... I was just checking my mail and I got something from "Wildwood Family YMCA". I thought Wildwood was close to here.

I see you have gone the sand way. Your sand looks exactly like mine, you water is very clear too. How Many Gallons is it? btw TOTM again - just had to, it deserves it.

Thx for the TOTM nom. The tank is 55 Gallons and I used white silica sand that I picked up at the local hardware store. I still have another bag of it in my vehicle for when I set up my other tank. 8) I have tried rocks (multi color, natural, blue, etc.) and even white rocks but the sand seems to be my favorite. It just looks more appealing to the eye and has a great calming affect.

Keep going west on 100(manchester) and you hit Wildwood.

Nice to see someone close by.

Where is your favorite LFS?

I'm not sure about this area, I don't know of any close by other than Petco (which is right around the corner from me) and Andy's Animals (large selection of saltwater) down off of 141. I go to a few places down Watson. Tropical World Pets is one of them.. though I find them to be a little pricey and I can't think of the other stores name. It is on the corner of Lacleed (sp?) and Watson. For the most part I just go to the Petcos and Petsmarts just because of convince. I'm up for any suggestions of places to shop.

Try aqua world.
West on manchester from you,go past clarkson, and on the right just past
the Steak-n-shake is the entrance.

Great people, great fish and they have another store that is huge(on gravois
almost downtown)

Try Beltds also, fantastic store in hazelwood.

Aqua World is my favorite.

Tropical World pets is pretty good too.

For salt there is a place in clayton that IS the best (cant think of name now but
its on Hanley)

All LFS seem high priced to me but they will go the extra mile
when you need it and the chain stores just look at you like your a #.

what is the name of the that fish in the first picture??????? I hace one just like it and dont know what its name is.
