Rocking a crabshell for a hat.
A new LFS opened up near me this week, yay! It's called Megan's Tropical Fish Emporium and I have to say that it's very nice. As you can tell by the store's name, it's a small indepentantly run place. After looking around the place, I had a nice chat with the owner.
On display included a "betta package": a 2.5 gallon tank with filter, heater, and your choices of the betta, decor, and some gravel... all for $39. Plus she has some gorgeous DTs and CTs there to pick from. I complimented her on that nice package deal and she was very happy that I noticed and emphatically stated she didn't want her stores to be like the ones that sold betta bowls.
The saltwater side of the store is not quite up and running yet... just some live rock and shrimp. This store's attitude is tops. For those around Houston, TX, the place is on I45 South, exit Fuqua, just 2 blocks east. And Megan the owner got into the business by buying out Neptune's Garden -- in case anyone remembers that store.
Also I left with 4 female platies there for my 2 males.
