new krib acting lethargy and breathing hard

Hi,
I purchased a pair of kribs early on this morning the male has settled in fine but the female is lethargy and lying down and breathing hard and deep i've never had a new fish do this before any help would be appreciated
ps my water is soft and the parameters are fine
