Hi. I found this place by accident when looking for information about my fish and the problems I am having. My daughter and I had 2 Cherry Barbs, 2 Fat Belly mollies, 3 danios, a Plecostomus, and 50 unknown babies. We have had a problem in our tank and only had it 5 weeks and everything seemed to be going well until the babies came. We are now down to the danios, 1 of the mollies, the plecostomus and only 8 of the 50 babies. Went to PetsMart and they have us cycling again. Hopefully things will get better. I just have one sad 9 year old now.

Welcome to the forums Kirsten. Sorry to hear about your fish loss but hopefully everyone here can help you out.

The babies will be mollies. Sorry to hear you only heard about cycling so late, hopefully we can give our best help to help you through any questions you have. Do a test for ammonia and nitrIte and if they are high then do a 40-50% water change, repeat the testing daily and the water change also. Use only dechlorinated water.
