New guppy fish has weird white poop?

Hi! I’m new to guppy keeping, I have 4 male guppies in a 10 gallon tank

The temperature is set at 25 Celsius. 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrites, 5ppm nitrates the Ph is a 7.2, and the hardness is at a 10dhg

So my one guppy I got 3 days ago, he is having what looks like poop with a white mucus string attached to it. He is acting fine swiming playful and he’s eating. Is this something I should be really concerned about? If so what are the next steps. Thanks!!

Sounds like to me it is a diet change/diet issue. I would recommend offering a different variety of food and see if the issue persists. Especially considering his behavior appears to be normal, I don’t know that you should be worried yet. (If that were to change, then you should obviously be concerned, lol).

I would also recommend Omega One, Hikari, or Bug Bites for new food options.

They are eating the bug bites food, I am not sure what the past people were feeding him

If the problem continues then I would try another option but make sure their behavior is consistent and normal

I totally forgot about worms! I could be wrong since I am no expert when it comes to them, but I think if they are behaving and eating normally then you are fine. Just keep an eye out and good luck with your new friends! Spoil them lots!
