Raechal
Fish Gatherer
My mom's hair dresser is moving and was looking for someone to take her 55 gallon and my mom knows how obsessed I am with fish so she told her I would love it.
I already had a 55 gallon in my room with a shubunkin and a feeder goldfish, the shubunkin was a friend of mine's who no longer could take care of him, and the feeder was just kind of an experiment to see how fast he would grow and what he would look like in a few years after feeding and taking good care of him. I originally purchased two, but the other one died shortly after purchasing him. I might go back and buy maybe one more.
I am probably going to be putting all of these fish in a pond outside in a year or two. Depending on how long it takes them to outgrow the 55 gallon.
So my mom's hair dresser had a 55 gallon with a green spotted puffer, a common pleco, a black moore, and a very large orange gold fish. I didn't know what kind the puffer was so I researched it online and found out that it was a green spotted puffer, which needs a brackish set up and shouldn't be kept with other fish at all. She said they got along well and they were good friends. The black moore's dorsal fin is almost all gone. I took the puffer back to the LFS and they said I could trade it in for another cheap fish. So I picked out another pleco.
So now I have two plecos in my 120 gallon along with my oscar and parrot fish. No more fish for that tank.
But the 55 gallon in my room now has the three goldfish and they all seem to be getting along. I removed the shubunkin as he was chasing the two other gold fish around constantly and they just seemed really stressed by it. The shubunkin is now in the new 55 gallon.
Here are some pictures
They aren't the best pictures but they were kind of hard to photograph as they just were added to their new homes and my camera was dying.
