I jus got a few new gold fishies in a big bowl. Anybody got any tips or suggestions? :)

Release them into a pond?

No seriously, a bowl is not a suitable environment for goldfish. They need 5-10 gallons of water each and heavy-duty filtration.

;) The sign said small gold fish and they are really small. I think they are less than an inch each. They aren't those big round kind. :( and thats mean to say especially since they'd get eaten in a pond.

What she meant was that goldfish can be kept in ponds, not to just release them into the nearest lake. Its harmful to keep goldfish in fish bowls. Its like putting a dog in a basket that it eats, poops and lives in and expecting the dog to be happy. They need more room!

most goldfish require at least a 10 gallon tank for one...and depending on the type...they can grow to like 10 inches....rethink you shceme

You may think they're small now, but they can easily grow into those big round goldfish. And goldfish do need lots of space, a filter, and plenty of aeration. They won't do well in a bowl. If I were you, I'd spend $40 and buy a 5 gallon kit.

I agree.....I have my goldfish in a 4ft tank and have 2 filters 1 external and 1 internal as they do create alot of waste........and like the others said it is cruel
