New Girl

This is my new Delta tail (If I am not mistaken, which I probably am...) female.
Her name is Whisper:

The most energetic, fun female I have had yet. I am keeping her seperate and hope to finally for once have a successful breeding. I have read and studied, researched all the tips and tricks, but all my fish never ever really were interested in spawning...
She is actually flaring at herself in the mirror, and loves to try and eat me.

having only 2 rays does not necesarily mean she is a veiltail, as Delta tails can have between 2-6 rays. monica says she is a delta which could only have 2 rays

Veiltail

Ok, highlighted in red we see that the edges of her tail are not straight, they curve in toward each other.

In green we see that she only has 2 ray, a veil tail female will NEVER have more then 2 rays.

and In blue we see her anal fin, its long and scopy but not very well defined or symmetrical.

Delta/Super delta

Red - The edges of her tail are straight, the DO NOT curve in toward eachother.

Green - She has 4 rays, deltas/super deltas can have between 2-6 rays.

Blue - Her anal isn't as scopey as the veiltail and is more well defined, this is the type of anal we will see on the halfmoons as well.

The edges of whispers tail look straight not curved to me, which would seem to imply delta tail as apposed to veil tail. although her anal fin is quite short and straight so she could be a PK, but i don't think she's a VT.

Plakat

The only point I can really highlight here is her anal fin, a female plakat will have a smaller, straighter, shorter anal fin then any of the other females.

Gosh I am bad at tail types. I can easily tell on males, but on females... eerrrrr, not so good.
Anybody know for sure?
I do not this she is a VT, considering her tail does not curve in... I will get another picture so maybe someone can confirm....

No she is defo a she. But her anal fin does look a little PK to me its very square but i'm not that expert at tellin PK girls

this fish is barring which means female 100% female, she's also a vt with some combtail lying deep in her genetics, her tail has the typical curving for a female vt and the she only has 2 rays throughout her tail, ive zoomed right into the pic and there isnt 3 rays or the hint of a 3rd (sorry had to pinch your pic to see for sure) yes deltas can sometimes have 2 rays but the fact on them being classed as a delta is if one of the sets of rays hold a fragment of a 3rd one, she defo not pk. the combing can be seen and the end of her anal fin but only very slightly, she is young so might well develope the combing a little more.

Why is her span so wide for a VT? I thought they ended pinched? Like it curves in?
I will trust you anyways..
So she has no delta in her? Or maybe from the CT she got a bit of her span?

And yes. She is definately a female. She bars and when she flares nothing extra comes out.

her tail is pinched, with her being a slight comb she will seem a little on the wider spread side than a standard vt but not by much
