That is a very cute girl you have there. I am concerned about her belly though. It looks like she might be constipated or overfed or have a bloat problem. I would fast her for a couple of days then feed her some smushed peas to help her relieve herself if that is the problem.

Hi Jaded,

I was just about to say...i just saw some females on aquabid being advertised as full of eggs, silly me, sorry  .

I am thinking of getting a female myself (currently proud owner of 8 males) and was wondering what happens if you have a female full of eggs and don't plan on breeding her? do the eggs go away?

mmhmm 9 times out of 10 the female will either reabsorb the eggs or release them and possibly eat them, yummy snack for her. Once in a while a female can become eggbound, which is when she keeps producing eggs and can't get rid of them, this can actually cause her "egg sack" to explode, ending in death. but this rarely ever happens, females are great fun, so much personality and you can keep them together (in groups of 5 or more to spread out agression.
