Hello, I hope I'm not being a total noob here. I already searched a bit for a topic addressing the same problem, but I couldn't find one that is just like mine.
Am I just paranoid? I just got two sweet little crown tail (I think) girls yesterday. They are in a 3 gallon tank (with no decorations in it yet, I know that could be stressful but I am getting some tomorrow) and they seem to be getting along famously. One is a bit shy, and the other is pretty... "large and in charge". Literally. Her stomach looks abnormally swollen to me. She doesn't seem to be showing any symptoms of anything (other than the big belly), and I have seen her expelling waste.
The fish in question, although her belly looks to be VERY VERY FULL, she seems to ALWAYS be hungry. When I put one little flake in the water, she immediately darted up and ate it. She then was darting around the tank frantically looking for more food. And, since the other girl is so cautious and shy, she doesn't have enough time to analyze her food before chubby over here gobbles it up. I had to take shy girl out in a little bowl and feed her individually.
Here she is yesterday, in blue. (the red one of course is shy girl)
Here she is about 10 minutes ago. She was pooping in this picture but she moves so much that it's blurry. (Her fins also shine many different colours as you can see)
And just for kicks, here's my main man Kurenai with his mudkip.
