got myself a new friend today a Salvini Cichlid, liked them for a long time now and when i saw it in the shop i couldnt say no

hehe agreed, i have one who's in a tank with a terripin at present, they will get on in a large tank with other same aggressive cichlids

yes its a temp soloution until someone comes to collect him, fine and its been about two months now

he is in a 160 litre tank (100cm x 40cm x 50cm) and his tank mates currently are a pike cichlid, 4 silver dollars and a pictus catfish

will go bigger yes but at the moment there is pleanty of space for them, was told the pike looked like a zingu II but after alot of looking and research i think ots only a Crenicichla Gaucho so that will ony get to 6" like the Salvini

i had a salvini but my jack dempsey killed him 2 days ago poor sod... lovely fish though

its not heartless i really liked my salvini but i couldnt get him out in time
