Hello,
I've just added a new program to my small collection of freeware aquarium toys, called "SoftWaterWare". It's basically a version of the Pearson's Square that allows you to quickly work out how much tap (faucet) water to how much rainwater you need to get water of a certain hardness. It toggles the output between ratios and percentages. There is a screenshot below.
I have a few other programs that might be of interest, such as Brack Calc, which converts between salinity (g/litre), specific gravity, and percentages of seawater. It's a useful tool if you keep brackish water fish but have information sources using different systems of measurement. There also a screenshot below.
FishTankTool is a "Swiss Army" knife for aquarists that help you work out all kinds of things, like volumes, how many fish a tank will hold, and conversions between different measurement systems. Can I Keep It? is one I think is fun, being a compatability device letting beginners figure out which fish go with which. There also a screenshot below. More Can I Keep It? does the same thing but with less common fish species. There's a screenshot of Can I Keep It? below.
You can download these toys here...
