Well, I haven't been into fish for a while, but here's my first attempt since my last tank...I was lucky enough to find a nice piece of driftwood that fit in the tank! Wewt!
These pictures are recent. The tank itself has been running for a month or so now.

What I have stocked:
- 3x balloon mollies and counting...(got a breeding pair going.)
- 1x red clawed crab

Mods:
- 2x MR16 LED lights

Coming soon?:
- 1x CFL lights?!
- 1x new hood. (after the MR16 light mod I had to put a bumper in so the lights don't touch the water. The hood is now 1cm off the top of the tank...)

My fluval edge with MR16 lights

Just one question....do you think I can put more fish in? or is it good as is?

PS. Sorry for the bad quality. The only camera I have atm is my cameraphone. :(

The Fluval Edge is only 6 gallons. Honestly, I'd say you're probably pushing it with the mollies and the crab, but that's just me. Remember that smaller tanks are harder to keep the parameters stable on. I'm in the process of upgrading my betta boys to 9-10gal tanks because the 5gals they were in were just too hard to keep up with.

BEAUTIFUL tank, though! :D

Nice looking tank. We've had some other newcomers in the past summer hoping other Fluval Edge owners would come along so they could compare notes. I'm sure they'll be glad to see another. I agree that you are probably fully stocked (if not overstocked) given that mollies can get pretty big and given that you may have some energetic fry (fry present a bigger bioload than you'd expect because they are so active and growing.)

ps. welcome to the section

Thanks :D
Also, I've been wondering...would the MR16 lights be strong enough for me to put in live plants? or should I wait for my CFL?
The plants I have in there atm are plastic.

The red claw crabs are only semi aquatic and need places to get out the water. They also need brackish water and have been known to catch and eat fish so i would take that back as soon as you ca. Maybe 6 pygmy corys instead.

Your lights should be fine for stuff like Java Moss, Anubis Nana and that sort of stuff. I am only running MR11's and they are going fine in my Edge.

I would agree about the crab. Mainly due to needing to get to top of tank and the small hole you have but it looks good otherwise.

If you want some more Edge related advise let me know. I have only been running mine a month and just about to add my first fish but had plants in for a few weeks and otherwise with heater and lights etc I have tried a few things.

I did just pick up a mini 50watt heater with external thermostate control on the plug (you need an adaptor for UK and not sure it will run without a converter) but it's only 10cm long total.

Looks good and will let you know how it runs.

Kind Regards,

Adam

Today one of my female balloon mollies died. The crab got at it. I'm going to return the crab tomorrow and pick up some new fish.
What kind of fish should I get?

I'm torn between getting 6 cory's, 10 kuhli loaches or 10 cherry shrimp. Ideas anyone?

I wouldn't get 10 Kuhli loaches. Maybe 5 at a push but they are technically too big although I am looking at getting around 5 for mine with the betta.

10 cherry shrimp would be fine. Not sure about cory's don't know enough about them.

Kind Regards,

Adam
