Basically I'm setting up a new tank after about 3 years since I closed my old one. I have now a 30l Fluval Ebi. I have attached pictures of it with a piece of root i had in my old 3ft tank (i really wanted to use it). The way I have it in the tank is pretty much the only way you can fit it in there!

I just wanted to ask people whether it looks ok i.e it's not too big and also what kind of easy to look after plants I can attach to it. Also if you can throw in some recommendations for fish that would be great.

It's going to be running a hang on filter btw.

Awesome piece of wood! I wish I had it! I think it looks great, make sure to keep us updated I can't wait to see what it ends up looking like. Not really sure about stocking though.

Thanks for the feedback, I went out and got a piece of clear plastic/perspex for the lid which I'm going to have to cut out/customize because the wood sticks out from the top.
 
That looks awesome man.
I would just leave it as an open top and have a hanging light.

But as above.... lookin forward to seeing progress of this :good:
