New Flowerhorn, Need Sm Info

Now after 1 week my FH is 3 inches OMG

Eats 4 time a day!!!! Liver!!!



1 problem im unable to clean the tank by suction

WAt should i do???


im changing water 10% daily




MY FH is awsome!!!! changed his colours frm Graan to yellow white with dark pearls!!

Liver is not a healthy diet for fish, they are unable to process the animal protines and will eventually develop serious problems. Best to feed with cichlid pellets and chopped prawn or mussel.

My FH wont eat the pillets i got him!

I suppose he lkes the Liver too much! ( liver is cooked nad cut into small piecs and then frozen)

I suppose i cant find Prawns that easily in the market here in India and no1 will giv me one or two for feeding purpose! ( and they stink!!!)



Guys suggest me wat to feed him!!!

he's growing @ a rate of 1 inch per week!!!

Also he's very Active , swims a lot behind the pleco most of the time

Cichlid pellets, of you stare hive for a few dyas he will accept them. Earthworms would also be a good choice.

First of all, no cichlid is going to grow at a rate of 1 inch per week, so that is wrong.

And Butch, from what it looks like, the flowerhorn is a hybrid living in the united states' waters, just like You are...

your flowerhorn will do fine in a 45 gal tank.
a full grown pair would also do fine a in a 45 gallon tank.
i know cause i done it before and they seem pretty happy in the tank and even breeding many times.
I u used to keep cichlid but now im moving to wakins/jinkin goldfish. getting tired of the same kinda fish all the time.

A single flowerhorn, let alone a pair, would Not be comfortable in a 45 gallon.. They grow to 14 inches.....
