I recieved 2 new bettas in the mail today. Well it looks as if the person who sent them doesn't have much experience shipping fish. They had a bunch of food in their little baggies and I'm afraid they may have bad ammonia poisoning from living in such a small space with so much food for the past 3 days. they're both very lethargic, laying at the bottoms of their tanks, and one seems to have a swim bladder problem. What can I do for them?

Awww... the poor guys sound like they are very stressed from their journey... Keep them very warm (80 - 82 degrees F) and in a quiet and dimly lit place, add aquarium salt to their tank water if you haven't already. Watch them very closely for signs of disease because a stressed betta's immune system is weak. Have some meds on hand just in case so you can treat at the first sign of disease. Don't feed too much over the next couple of days.

Pamper them for awhile and your new friends will bounce back before you know it. :)

Shelled peas, and put some salt in there bowls for the stress.
