New fish pictures

Very nice Nitro. Will you be planting some foreground plants?
edit- is that Sagittaria natans at the front? Do you find it ok planting small plants in your gravel?

is that Sagittaria natans at the front?

It is Sag Platyphyla i believe. (the plant on the left?)

Will you be planting some foreground plants?

There is 4 small buches of E.tennilis at the front to the right hand side.

gf225- do you think i should i remove the amazon left of the wood and stick loads of hygro polysperma instead because i think there is too much amazon?

Do you find it ok planting small plants in your gravel?

I dont have much trouble planting them apart from the E.ten which kept coming out. There was one bunch of it which kept coming up every day even though i near enough buried it, then i got fed up with it and threw it out. :look:

I'll be adding an updated pic tonight(i forgot last night).

I think the pink variety of H polysperma would look great in place of the centre Sword. It should provide a great focal point add give your tank some extra colour. Hopefully the left Sword will fill out and hide some of that equipment.

It should look wonderful if and when your foreground plants spread and fill in. Good work!

gf, I will think about your idea. I dont think the hygro would work on left of the wood anyway because its where the filter output is so it would get knocked around quite abit, like it is at the moment....

I'll probably attach some moss or riccia on the wood at the front and some point.

It should look wonderful if and when your foreground plants spread and fill in
Its going to take a while

Heres an updated pic as promised.

Nice picture quality. What kind of Camera/lens are you using?

The camera i use is a Fujifilm Finepix F810.

HTH

lovely tank.

as to the swords i'd leave them as they are both growing well. personally i dont like the base and first 1/2 of swords so planting a medium height plant in front of them will hide the stems.

also as gf225 said some carpeting plants in the forgroung would look great.

here are some new pics of the whole tank and Otos.

Can any tell me what type of otos i have?

Whole tank pic. It has not come on as much as i had expected due to major algae problems which has made growth very slow.

Thanks for looking.
