most plecos are shy to be honest, its great when they do come out though i haven't seen my clown plecos for at least a month! then today the lighter one comes out with not a care in the world posing for the camera my darker clown pleco came out to but he / she is more elusive, bloody thing teases me, wont come out in full view,just a tail or head usually my bn however is out all the time.
