Well after a few days and a few 25% water changes the problems with the snails is almost complete. I only have a few left to get rid off. I removed most of the plants and the piece of bog wood and cleaned the filter. I then used snail control and removed more snails using the gravel hoover and also set up a snail trap using lettuce as bait. I would just like to say thanks to everyone for all the advice given in this problem.
