ive only got a small tank at the moment but i will be geting a much bigger one on my birthday iam only 14 at the moment in my tank ive got only 4 convicts which is very boring but they are growing which is quite good to see ide like to say hello to everyone

Remember to cycle your new tank before you transfer your fish to it. It takes time, but it beats having dead fish!

There's an article on fishless cycling by Alien Anna, pinned at the top of the forum Beginner Questions, called Avoiding and Treating New Tank Syndrome.
Read it. It's very enlightening, and will ease you through the process

iam not sure what siuze but my mum told me to get a flippin 8 ft tank! i was like erm no i only just started so ill probly only get a bout a 4 or 5 ft coz iam only taking care of things like convicts and bottem feeders no ocsars or jack dempsies yet and please tell me if i just said sumthin that meant no sense aty all coz iam only going on what ive been told by my gfs dad he has 5 tanks and his biggest tank is 6 ft and i like it alot

That's cool noodle! Cheirodon is so correct about cycling your tank before adding fish. The place where I buy fish wouldnt even let me purchase a fish until a month has past of cycling and I had to bring them my water to check. It was all worth it in the long run
