Have just swapped my corner tank for a   6ft x 3 ft tank

what "colorfull" fish could i get to fill it as the moment got  2 angel fish. starlight  pleco , shark bala and two blue ram, always wanted a green puffer what do you think? can they go into tropical tanks ? also some nice group of scooling fish to swim back and fourth the tank

cheers

What is the height of the tank?

Not so sure about the puffer, but I think a good schooling species may be one of the rainbow fish, perhaps. Maybe some cherry barbs, red phantom tetras, lemon tetras, harlequin rasboras, or blood fin tetras. These school really well and have nice colors. I'm not sure if they will get on with the angels, but I think most of them would do fine with the rams.

4ft high tank thanks  i dont want fish that are too small as it dont look right in a big tank i give the puffer a miss lol

Maybe the boesemani rainbowfish would work. They get around four inches, I think.

i have herd about some tiger barbs that got 5" long in a 90 gallon but they can be nippy.

WOW! that is a big tank!

Tiger barbs school really tightly, but they do get sort of aggressive. If I were you, I would add several species of schooling fish, some of them small, some much larger. Of course, you have to also make sure they won't get eaten by the angelfish. I'm curious about the puffer. Be sure to share any research you find.

I would really research the puffers. Almost positive they have to be kept by themselves or with other puffers bc they're extremely aggressive.

a school of clown loach would look brill in a tank that size

How about some scissor tail rasboras? They will get to about 5 inches long and look really cool if you get a large shoal of them
Or maybe even lots of cardinal tetras? They add some colour and are very active shoaling fish

cheers clown loach looks mint how many should i have in a school?

6+ is good for loaches. I would second torpedo barbs but I reccomend rosy barbs as well. They get to 6 inches are peaceful, pretty and active. Im not a hundred percent on this but I think a bala shark will end up needing more space to swim in. He likes a big shoal of 10+ sharks too. :)

Yeah I would say a group of balas would need a bigger tank, clown loach get to a pretty big size as well

Yeek! Didn't see clown there, they'll need bigger than a 6. Yoyos are a more manageable size of 5-6 inch.
