I just got a new penguin 125 biowheel filter, and i have a few questions. does the wheel get cleaned or replaced and is there any way to alter the flow output? thanx
Clean the wheel only before you introduce the filter to the tank. After that, it will have colonies on it which will be killed by later cleaning, by the chlorine in your tap water.
As for the second question, I dont believe there is a way to change the output. It will create a good current, so Im not sur ewhy you would want that unless you have African Butterfly fish.
