Thought i'd share theses pics with you all,not sure if i should've posted it in pics section?,Me and Kelly went to the lfs (Wharf aquatics in Pinxton derbyshire) on saturday and saw this fellow,he was the nicest betta there out of about 15 and just couldn't resist getting him, the bloke in there told us that he looked like a crowntail crossed with a veiltail and i can see why,maybe a one of you guys could verify this?.We put a mirror up to the glass to get him to pose,the misus has named him Olly. Hope you like.

He's brilliant zippa,great colours,i love the crowntails ,well love em all really!,can see why you got him,ENJOY. ,you should do the mirror thing,apparently its good for them once in a while,keeps them active and helps them live longer!!,haven't they got great personalities!.

,yer took me ages to take my photos,he wouldn't stay still,he was guarding his little spot in the tank.thanks for your comments too Liz (lovely avatar of your betta )and to you stang,Ill try and get a good macro shot of him sometime and post it.

Wondered how long it would be till someone spotted that ha ha, he is in a 96ltr community tank and the honey gourami is his best bud, i know this goes against the norm but they really do go everywhere together,ive researched bettas a lot and was aware that bettas and gouramis dont usually get on so the result has suprised me,the last betta we owned also got on with my gouramis so this is why i put him in the community tank plus he's got a lovely plasid personality,i will continue to monitor the tank closely,the tank has lots of planted area and caves for them tho but iv neva had a problem with them so far, its a very happy tank.
