Hey guys,

Inherited three fish from a friend. He doesn't have a clue what they are he just bought them because they looked pretty and now he's decided to sell his tank... I too do not have a clue what they are but It would appear there are two females and a male.

Quick pic -

Thanks in advance :)

First pics are of a female krib. And the 3rd pic is of some kind of shrimp. It might be a ghost shrimp.

The shrimp is an Armano. Was just worrying about his welfare with regards to the introduction of the 'kribensis' ? :)

I'm pretty sure they're compatible but I'll let another more experienced fish keep confirm it for me :p

Tell me, does your water conditioner have any phosphates in it? Or a fertaliser of some description?

black brush algae.
seconded.

And if you have 2 female kirbs but only one male I'm not sure that's a good thing - if two of them pair up I'm fairly sure the other will be bullied to death, but someone else might want to confirm or deny that...

Well they have been in a day now and they seem very peaceful. They pay the shrimp no attention whatsoever. As for my water conditioner I use it's Interpet Bioactive Tapsafe.. It doesn't say anything on it about phosphates... My plants seem to do really well though. I did have an explosion of hair algae which was remedied by a pitbull plec

They have been living as a three for a while now but I do agree that one of the females seems outcast.. She is not being bullied by the other two and seems to be quite well accepted by them but she does seem lonely and her colours are quite dull in comparison ?..
