New Dwarf Cichlid

Hey Guys!

Yesterday I went to the lfs and told the guy what kind of fish I have. So as usual he showed me what is new since the last time I went in there. He showed me some cherry barbs, Angelfish and lots of other stuff and also some dwarf cichlids. So I asked a few questions and I really trust the guys that work there so I bought one of em, I will post some pics in 5 mins.

What type if he? Is he a type of Apistogramma, a Ram or maybe a Krib?

He is just called a dwarf cichlid here is a pic of him

Dwarf Cichlid just summarizes many Dwarf Cichlids e.g small Cichlids he will be an individual species of Cichlid.

Hmm I dunno what kind he is, can someone help me out??

Its difficult to say without a better picture but from the head shape i believe it is most probably one of the Laetacara species.

Well it's call Apistogramma sp. "Steel Blue" it is thought to be a hibrid out of Singapore.

from your picture , it looks like you have a male "Apistogramma Borelli ". nice fish, not very demanding . when he darkens up does he have many blue specles on his head and body .Try to get him a couple of girl freinds .

he looks very like the apisto borellii pair I got that turned out to be 2 male Apistogramma sp "Steel Blue" feisty little fishes who now live in separate tanks as they are very intolerant of each other.
