New Discus

At the moment I have a 180lts tank but I interested in keeping Discus I no this tank is ideally to small so I'm looking to buy a bigger tank I was thinking a juwel 300 (300lts). I'm hoping that will be big enough as I don't have room for bigger.
Would the decor need to be basic? I've got just basic gravel in my tank now and none of my plant life seem to last long before turning brown!
Would there be a safe number of Discus to start with?

300 l = around 65g if my maths serves me correct. in which case yes thats big enough for a group of 6 discus . basic decor is a lot easier to keep clean . discus tanks do need to be kept very clean and a group of discus can be pretty messy . they eat a lot and poo quite a lot .
