My other betta finally passed away, but this new one is pretty impressive. He's still pretty small and he's extremely curious. I cleaned his bowl out earlier today. I put the net in there and just held it still...after checking it out for a few seconds, he just swam right into it. He is also not picky about food at all (Flakes, granules, bloodworms, whatever).

Here's a picture. Although you can't really see it here, this is one of the shiniest bettas I've ever seen.

i was going to get one like that. instead i got mine *points to avatar* i dunno, i wasn't too fond of the blue/red. hes gorgeous though.

Thanks for the responses. I can't really take too much credit for the picture, the camera did all the work :good:

His tail fin has a curious feature you can see in the picture. One of the spikes is curved like a hook while the rest are relatively straight.

matty101: I've actually got him in a bowl, it's a little over a gallon. The temperature stays comfortable where I have him and he seems to be a pretty happy fish (curious and active) so I don't worry about it too much.

woah!!! that looks almost exactly like my betta named elvis!! only his fins arent pointy like that and he never fans out anymore since hes getting pretty old  anyways what tank do you have him in? mines in a 2.5 gallon bowfront with a blue stand thing. heres a picture
