hi, i wanna get some new corys that dont grow very big and i want 6 in total, i want two Three-lined cory and two of a diffrent kind of a cory and then another two. so six with three diffrent types, i have been told that this is fine. can anyone recomend another two types that will only grow to 2.5 inchs and get along with the Three-lined corys thanks

Hi Robbo851 :)

You would be fine with pretty much any corys you like since they all get along together and none of them get much bigger than 2.5 inches.

C.aeneus, either bronze or albino (with the albino usually being a little smaller than the bronze) would be a good choice. C. metae, called "bandit" corys are another cory that stays small, usually 2".

The only kind I wouldn't recommend is C. panda, unless you have a well established tank and are willing to commit to extra water changes. These, while small and cute as can be, are quite delicate and tend to stay to themselves. :D

But albino corys get to 3inchs, i know i have an old female one who is just over 3inchs long- how many and what other fish do you have in the tank and is it sand or gravel based tank?

my tank has very fine gravel and some sand (just a corner) it has glow lights mollies and a few varities of shrimp, i was thinking of getting Corydoras melanistius (Black Sail Cory Cat) and pygmy cories
