Today i boguth some company for my cory. I also got some decent ( decently priced, that is) cory food, these little stick thingys.
My question is this; I know corsy should be kept in groups, but what size is a "group" in 10G? Right now I have a preggy female in there, plus 1 male and one platie.

Corydoras should be kept in a minimum shoal of at leat 4, preferably 6.

...and in a larger tank to enable you to keep a large enough group.

corys can also be kept in gravel as long as its not sharp, smooth rounded gravel is fine. although they do appear to prefer sand :D

Sand is more natural to them, I would never put cories to gravel after I have seen how they react in sand :p It was a total sand-frenzy for days!

know what ya mean, i first had my corys with gravel & they were happy enough but they are now loads happy in the sand & horny :hey: they just spawned again for the third time in 2/3 months saved eggs this time thou :hey:

I have three albino cories in a ten gallon betta sorority tank. I think three is probably the minimum size school for cories. Yes, they'd probably love to have more cory friends but they actually seem very happy and active.
