I picked these cories up last week. Im still not sure what they are, but Im leaning towards Corydoras agassizii, Corydoras melanistius, or Corydoras ambiacus.

They are lovely. I really like the look of the round nose, short body Corys. They look very healthy and already happy.

Nice Corys.

A shop near me has some very similiar ones, listed only as "Spotted Cory Corydoras spp."

Hi Jason. I think that these fish are most definitely C. agassizii. I have never seen C. ambiacus that did not have a hyaline dorsal. Additionally, although they are quite variable, C. melanistius has much smaller spotting. Just my 2¢.- Frank

Thanks, I really like them too. I have started to like the "spotted" cories more and more lately. I think I might start collecting a lot of them :D

Yeah, thats waht they label the C. trilineatus around here. Although, I did pick up a lone C18 a while back that was mixed in with some C. trilineatus.

Hey Frank,

Yeah another very knowledgable person told me they were C. agassizii, so thats what I will go with. Thanks for the reply :good:

Beautiful little cories barracuda, im so jealous.

Look like C. Agassizii to me except for the image with a single fish in the top right of the 3rd picture, which appears to have connected spotting which makes me wonder....maybe my eyes are playing tricks.

Keep on building that collection :)

"Just Moving On Up" bigger and better. Got to get another room for the fish. If I can get out of my lease I just might go over and try the apts down the way with a garage! :hyper:
