i bought a new clown loach on sunday (today is tuesday) and i noticed yesterday that the loach had some small spots on it. its defo not white spot iv seen it before i was thinking maybe it was kept in bad water conditions in the pet shop and thats why the spots are there and will eventually go away. my temp is 27C my ph 7.2 ammonia 0 nitrates 20 and nitrite 0

So the spots are not like grains of salt.
Is the clown flicking and rubbing against objects.
You can get colunmaris spot they are a greyish white colour with a tinging of red on the outside of the spot.
Clown loaches are more prone to whitespot.

I am afraid to say that your clown loach will grow much to big for your tank (if it is the 33g in your profile). They prefer to be in groups and can grow up to 14", some 16".

mature clown loaches can get small pale "spots" on its head area. However, I'd expect youd need an 8+" one for that to be it

i hav three in the tank so far and i plan to buy a bigger tank when they do start to outgrow my current one. its only a small loach around 2 inches in lenght. the spots are greyish and there not too many of them

How big would you say roughtly the spots were.
You can get greyish columnaris spots.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.

the spots are miniscule there seems to be more on its tale than anywhere else. i havent noticed and flicking or rubbing but i have noticed that the my 2 other clowns who are bigger than the new one nudging it and he seems to play dead or something because he goes on his side and stops moving then they leave him alone.
also would clown eat a dead fish cause i had a danio die last week i only was gone for 2hours and he was near totally eaten and another danio has disappeared today with no sign of it

According to this its whitespot.
Think I've heard of whitepsot being little greyish spots aswell.

i think its whitespot myself because iv just been to the lfs were i bought it and saw the last remaining loach riddled with whitespot iv never saw a fish with it that bad before. so im treating it with some medicine i have but only half dosing due to loaches being scaleless and iv 5 baby mollies in there 2 and dont want to harm them

Don't forget to remove black carbon.
Increase aeration as it will be tough on the bottom as meds reduce 02 in the water.
Good luck.
