Just showing off really, i picked up my 12 new baby Bleheris from Wildwoods this weekend. they have already settled in to a temp tank and are greedily eating pretty much anything i put in the tank including muscle, prawn, blood worm and pellets.

In a week or so they will go into their proper tank (not ready for use yet) and will post some photo's of the cute little beggars.

I saw the "all sold" label on the tank on Saturday and thought to myself someones doing a bleheri breeding project

you bought 12 Channa Bleheri.....someone is starting a brothel lmao

I have them all in one tank and they look fantastic, and yes this is a breeding project over the next couple of years.
Im gonna wait as i said in my first post until they go into their proper tank for photos as at the moment they are in a temp tank and it looks rubbish.

dont worry next year when i start the breeding i will have a log of it from start to finish (hopefully finishing with many new babies, havent decided what i will do with them yet).

....havent decided what i will do with them yet

Well, you may be THE man to see next year if that European Directive that's being proposed goes through.
Snakeheads are included in the 350 species of fish that could face an import ban as of November

Google - The Aquatic Animal Health Directive and/or 2006/88/EC - for more info

Thats way too much to read for me im afraid, sounds ominous though.

My gachuas might even become worth something! :hyper:

Yeah might be worth me asking my mate for the one i gave her back :) and also going and buying some up :D
It'll be a shame if they do ban those on the import list, I might be for a good cause, but tbh i dont see the point.
Just try harder to stop people dumping the fish into the wild and there is limit risk of KHV spreading... or they could put better checks on imports, to check for KHV, as I believe it is detectable.
