New Bulbs For Juwel 180

hi guys. finally feel like im getting somwhere with getting the tank set up today i decided to check the bulbs that came with the tank i bought secondhand. ive got absolutely no idea about lighting but im guessing the bulbs i have are no good for a tropical setup. most of the writing on the bulbs is unreadable, one of them is blue and the other is white, and says marine on it.

what would you guys advise? new bulbs? or convert to leds? ive got no idea about leds, im gonna go and have a read about them now. ive got no problem knocking somthing up myself as im fairly confident with electrics. if i do go for new bulbs waht kind will i need? many thanks in advance.

It would depend really on whether you need high light or low light, seeing as you have a rio it will either be T8 bulbs or T5s, low and high light respectively. If it doesnt read what they are then t8s are just under and inch and t5s are about half that, check that out first

t8s are 8/8ths of an inch, eg 1 inch diameter

t5 are 5/8ths of an inch diameter
