new betta

[fish are my life]

I'm getting a new betta hopefullly today. don't know wat he will look like tho. ive had my tank running for a week now and surprisingly the ammoniea and nitrate levels are at 0 and yes i do hav fish in there (6 neons and a peppered cat). would the tank be ready for a betta yet or should i wait a while.

What size is your tank? If it has only been up and running with fish in it for a week you might want to think about letting cycle before adding any more fish in there. I have heard that neons are fin nippers and shouldn't be kept with bettas.
