New Betta!

I went to my LFS to buy some more of the gorgeous turquoise shiny gravel i bought the other day for my new tank, as I had ought the last bag. They hadn't been able to get any more for me But then I noticed they had some bettas in their tanks. Sorry looking little things, most of them were. but one caught my eye, as he was so active and swimming round like a lunatic, completely ignoring the mollies he was living with. I stood there and thought about it for like, 30 seconds. And that was it - I was sold!
He is a gorgeous mid blue with what looks like green developing on his tail. And his little front fins - dead technical me, the ones that are like little arms, lol - are bright red! He is so cute! Pics to follow later, he is currently living in my 2ft where my tetras wre growing. Tetras have now been unceremoniously dumped into the community tank to make space for his majesty! I'll quarantine him for 2 weeks and by then i should have my new divided tank set up for him to move into! Yay!

Oh no! I think some one is addicted! Join the club hehe Pretty soon you will be clearing off any open flat surface for tanks lol(if your like me). He sounds pretty. Don't forget to pamper him , its a hard life in the petsore, even if it is just a few days.

Here he is Took me ages to get a pic that actually looks something like his actual colouring! Doesn't help that the tank he is in is about 3 inches off the floor Damn uncomfortable, taking pics that low down!

He's not got a name yet. Will have to have a think..... gotta come up with something a bit better than the last one!
Is he a veil tail too, like Baby? And he appears to have some reddish purple on him too.... hmmmmmm.

When I eventually divide up my 2ft for 3 more bettas, i am gonna buy off someone on this forum, you all have such wonderful fish. But I just couldn't help myself with this one...... I couldn't bear the thought that some idiot might buy him and put him in with the wrong tankmates...... I had to buy him! He is just soooo cute and very inquisitive. I am gonna call him Neptune I think

I just love him, he is even more active than my Baby! Can't wait till I divide my new tank and he can go in, though he is being quarantined first, having come from an LFS.... And just a few months till I can divide up my 2ft and get 3 more bettas! Yay! Though my husband is picking one of them Am trying to keep him involved in my obsession!

HAHA, It didnt take long for me to get my boy hooked! And with a cute little guy like that , it wont take long for bettas to win his heart!

His ventral fins are bright red, and I am sure parts of him look purplish.... I wonder if his colour will change some?

If his colors change at all , they should get brighter and more rich in color. a happy bettas a bright betta( except ofcorse for platinums , chocloates, and blacks.)

OOOH I can't wait...... his fins are a little ragged so hopefully as they get fixed he will get brighter too
