New Betta Will be here Soon!

I ordered a Half Moon male Betta from my LFS the other day. They rarely get them in because nobody buys them because they are usually more money then regular Veiltails. So, they put in an order for me and they'll be here on Wednesday! I like this store because they don't put their Bettas in cups. They put them in filtered 10g tanks so, they are very healthy. B)

Me too, my only concern is the water temperature. It's usually at 72-74 degrees ferenheight. I bought a heater but there was no temperature control on it so, it just kept heating, and heating and heating. Is that temperature okay for a Betta?

72-74 is probably the lowest I would consider keeping a Betta regularly, it would be better than cooking it with a bad heater, but not as good as getting a good heater that could keep the temp at 78-80. Is that clear as mud now? hehe

Congrats on the new Betta, it is very good to hear there is an LFS that keeps their Bettas in an appropriate manner.

Yeah, what I'll probably do is buy a good heater and keep it around the temperatures you said above. Thanks for the help!
