New betta boy!

Also a bit daft, bless. Sorry for the naff pics but they're taken on my mobile.

He's a bit odd actually. Apart from the colouring his tail has two splits at even spaces so it forms sorta three floaty v shapes. He's fairly mature as he has his full gill flaps and has used them to flare at his reflection. The tank, by the way was a quick effort this afternoon after the divider failed (My other betta found a way through. He's now known as Houndini ). Thing is, he's without a heater until tomorrow. I have him in the kitchen, warmest room in the house. Tank will be moved, substrate added and a lil heater and filter tomorrow. Seems fine. I could resist the lil fella.

I will try to borrow a better camera as I don't have one of my own apart from the mobile. He does enough flaring with no provocation I should easily be able to get a decent pic.

From what I can tell ( ) He is a pretty color. Is he purple and white?

But just a some fyi..you may want to take those shells out (if they are "real" sea shells and not plastic or anything) because they can alter your PH.

They are real but were used in someones tank for many many years. So they are ok. I wouldn't dream of adding tanks directly from the beach.
Have now given him substrate a small filter and heater. When I went to take him out so I could do the adding of things I saw he'd made a small bubblenest. So sweet. Just hope this evenings upset hasn't put him in a sulk. He's eating so hopefully not.
Am seeing my Daddy next week so will try and borrow his smaller digital camera and get a piccy of that tail for you. It is unusual.
He's actually white, purple and turquoise! The turquoise being on his tail and fins. And with that odd shape.
