ARRGH. Funny story, when I got this, I tried to put it in there and it floated. so I had to weight it down with some gravel

if you remember my silk plant problem thread, this is the plant I was talking about. what I did is I took the Suction cup out of the plastic plant and I put it on the silk plant

I also put the plant in my last setup in there

Pebbles is Exploring his new home. sorry about the rough quality. He never poses for me as he used to

in case you wanted to know, my filter runs on a wheel

Wow! That is a major improvement. Probably the reason that he doesn't "pose" as he used to is because he's too busy enjoying the extra room. Nice job!

Whats all that stuff over the tank? Is it bubbles or air bubbles? (it actually looks like glitter lol!)

I bet he loves the extra room. Has he become more active in a heated tank?

What a deal for Pebbles - good job!

Two of my bettas are in 3 gal. Eclipse tanks and they seem to LOVE them!!!

BTW, mine have 25 watt heaters in them - no worry about melting the plastic!!

those are bubbles but I just checked the tank and all of them were gone. Yeah it does look like glitter ROFL

when water first comes out of the tap it is more highly oxygenated and thus bubbles. they go away with time. some peopel think the bubbles and highly oxygenated water could harm the fish. but I have no idea of the fact or fiction of that. I just fill a new tank up, wait for the bubbles to form and then wipe them off.

When i was setting up my pond in the summer i put my betta in for the day. he was so funny.

I use the hydor in both my 3 gals. It keeps the water a constant 78 degrees

I'm just going by what i've read when i previously researched these mini heaters. The other problem with them, is you cant adjust them in any way. So if your fish gets whitespot or other disease that requires a higher temperature, you cant raise it. The other factor to look at is the ambient room temperature that the tank is in, which will play a significant role for smaller tanks.
