New 55 Gallon Aquarium.

I just bought a 55 gallon aquarium tonite. It'll be a while before I get it up and running, so for now I'm trying to figure out what fish to go with.

I want color, but mixed with more "drab" fish.

I love how danios (?) swim together so they are a thought, and I love how convicts have so much color, so they are another consideration.

Other than those two types, Im completely at a loss as to what I could possibly have or want.

Could anyone give me some suggestions?

have you considered african cichlids, they have tons of color, and im sure you could find some "drab" fish

Rainbowfish tick the "colour" (male) and "drab" (female) boxes, usually mixes with twice as many females than males in the group.

55 gallon? get a absolute massive shoal of tetras for colour then some danios for drabness plus maybe a plec or 2?
